Verint at Symphony Innovate 2020: Compliance in the Collaboration Economy

By October 20, 2020 Events, Partnerships

With over half a million licensed users, 360 companies collaborating internally and communicating with their business ecosystem, over 2000 applications developed on the platform and an increase of 300% in messages sent every month, Symphony has solidified its role as the financial services’ critical market infrastructure technology provider. This momentum was showcased at Symphony’s eighth Innovate conference on October 8, 2020.

Symphony Innovate 2020

Symphony Innovate 2020 brought together hundreds of attendees digitally to hear financial services executives and technology experts discuss connectivity in the collaboration economy, new global markets workflows, how to connect the virtual workforce, and the role of security and compliance in remote collaboration.

The digital conference—Symphony’s second in this format due to the COVID-19 pandemic—offered an action-packed agenda where executives and technology experts discussed how to streamline secure collaboration, connect information systems, and automate workflow across global markets. Symphony, which powers over 60 million messages exchanged on a monthly basis and has seen a 30% uptick in active monthly users since the pandemic, announced the second generation of its core collaboration platform, Symphony 2.0, while attendees also got a chance to hear what industry leaders think about the future of the capital markets.

Regulatory Compliance in the Collaboration Economy

As part of the Technology & Developer Forum breakout track, Symphony’s Ivana Polim, Global Head of Client Engagement hosted a technical deep dive session around how their core platform and strategic partners have been helping financial firms meet strict security and compliance standards. As part of the discussion, Phil Fry, VP of Product Strategy at Verint, reflected on the risk and compliance implications of home working and the massive adoption of digital collaboration technology by financial market participants.

In the session, they examined:

  • What are the bottlenecks firms are dealing with when deploying new technologies while working from home and trying to maintain compliance regulations?
  • How does the Verint platform work? How do Symphony and Verint jointly enable compliant workflows?
  • How does Verint address the complexity of managing omnichannel communication and collaboration streams in a consolidated way?
  • How has Verint helped Symphony users to overcome such challenges?
