Cisco Live 2014 in Melbourne, Australia is a premier education and training event for IT professionals, with three distinct programs – Networkers, IT Management and Service Provider. Last week Verba headed Down Under to discuss, network, discover and learn more about the latest Cisco products.
What are the benefits of Cisco Live?
Verba were sponsors of this year’s event based in the World of Solutions – the exhibition and interactive learning area and the hub of the event. It was the ideal platform to showcase the Verba Recording System and meet with over 2000 technology innovators, IT and communications professionals. Peter Jasko, who heads up business development in the UK felt that Cisco Live was ‘the perfect opportunity to showcase the Verba Recording System and meet with an array of technology innovators, IT and communications professionals.” Team Verba increased their knowledge about the latest Cisco technologies, products and solutions; met other Cisco partners and developed vital new business relationships.
What sessions were covered?
There were a variety of programs covered: Technical Seminars; Networkers; IT Management; Service Provider; Walk-in-Self-Paced Labs; Meet the Expert and Cisco Certification Testing – to name but a few. The second day was Cisco Day where Super Sessions highlighted the latest trends and technologies to help partners understand how to align these challenges with the broader industry direction. Sessions included ‘Collaboration and the Internet of Everything’ which covered the latest additions to the Cisco Collaboration Portfolio, as well as creating more interactive customer experiences far beyond traditional company boundaries.
Cisco Live was not only about business…it was about having fun too! During the event,Verba partook in a Scavenger Hunt! Attendees had a list of clues and had to take photos in various locations based on particular clues located around technology, keynotes and the World of Solutions and even pictures with Cisco executives. Our clue was… ‘Hunt Down Attila the Hun and take a picture of him with a five letter V word.’ Our Solutions Developer, Attila, donned a helmet during Cisco Live…it was a definite talking point!
To round off Cisco Live, 2014 in Melbourne, a mini amusement park proved to be a hit with everyone! Highlights included a giant slide and classic pinball machines with entertainment provided by the The Cat Empire Orchestra.
The event was a successful experience for Verba, which not only provided a useful insight into the latest technologies of Cisco products, but also enabled Verba to cultivate new business relationships.
